STUDIOCANAL CLASSICS

Cookie Policy.

Last updated 24 August 2026

1. Introduction

1.1

STUDIOCANAL ("we", "us" or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to this website. This Cookie Policy explains how www.studiocanalclassics.com (the "Website") uses cookies and similar technologies, what information they collect, and how you can control them.

1.2

This Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, of which it forms part.

2. What cookies are

2.1

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, including local storage and session storage, work in comparable ways. This Policy uses the word "cookies" to refer to all of them.

2.2

Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting, in which case they are described as first party, or by a third party whose content appears on that website.

2.3

Cookies are described as session cookies when they are removed once you close your browser, and as persistent cookies when they remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.

3. How we use cookies

3.1

We use a small number of cookies, and we do not use them to build a profile of you or to track you across other websites.

3.2

Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the Website to function and to remember the choices you make about cookies. They cannot be switched off, and under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they do not require your consent.

3.3

Optional cookies. Video content on the Website is hosted by YouTube. No connection to YouTube is made and no YouTube cookie is set unless you accept optional cookies and then choose to play a video.

3.4

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the Website is used. It does not set cookies, does not store personal data and cannot follow you to other websites. Visitors are counted using a hash generated from each request, which is discarded within 24 hours, so this does not require your consent. We do not use advertising or social media cookies. If that changes, this Policy will be updated and you will be asked for your consent again.

3.5

Optional cookies are only set where you have given consent by selecting Accept. Continuing to browse the Website does not amount to consent, and selecting Decline does not restrict your access to any part of the Website other than embedded video.

4. Cookies we use

5. Third party content

5.1

Embedded video is provided by YouTube, a Google service. Where you have accepted optional cookies and press play, Google receives your IP address and information about the video you are watching, and may set cookies on your device. This is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy, over which we have no control.

5.2

The Website links to external sites, including social media platforms. Those sites set their own cookies and are not covered by this Policy.

6. Managing your preferences

6.1

You can change your choice at any time, and withdrawing consent is as straightforward as giving it.

6.2

Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, may prevent parts of the Website from working. Guidance for individual browsers is available at aboutcookies.org.

6.3

Use the button below to review or change your choice on this Website.

7. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.

7.2

Questions about this Policy, or about how we handle personal data, can be sent to our Data Protection Officer at dpo@studiocanal.com.
